Diving ,
Ruins and Amphoras

like Gökova Gulf. These forbids are made for the protection
of the underwater life and the ancient ruins. Everyone should
respect this decision. There are lots of diving organization
tours. You can dive in forbidden regions only by special
permit from authorities. Datca is a well known amphora heaven.
Datca's diving locations can be reached by boats from the
ports. Let’s check some of them;
İnce Cape
This is the
farthest diving region; it takes forty five minutes to get
there. İnce Cape is the starting point of the forbidden area.
There are two diving locations in this area. In the
firstlocation amphoras can be seen from the land. In the
second location there are fifty five meters long ceramics. You
can see wild tuna and logos fish here.

Trekking
Nature
walks are aimed to show Datca's natural habitat. Most of the
courses end at the sea side. We recommend you to swim after
trekking. You can climb to Eagle Valley or you can walk in
Eksera Valley. If you are willing to go to Eksera Valley, we
recommend you to hire local guide. For starters we advice easy
courses.
Warnings
for Trekking
Most of the
Datca courses are easy and smooth. We advice you to wear
comfortable shorts, wool sucks and sport shoes.
There is
nothing like experiencing the sound of a summer breeze in the
leaves and the sight of a sparkling stream under the sun but
you should also be aware that anytime you interact with nature,
there is a risk of injury. With the right knowledge, you can
avoid injury in the wilderness while enjoying nature.
Here are a
few tips for successful trekking. One of the most important
rules of trekking: be smart about what you pack! Here is a
list of the things you will need: cap, towel, compass, extra
shirts (long-sleeved), drinking water and first-aid kit. Carry
everything in your backpack. Both of your hands should be free,
don’t hold anything during trekking. Since you are likely to
see plants, insects and animals that you have never noticed
before, bring along a guide book so you can look up
information on the spot. You can see lambs and dogs protecting
them, so don’t get afraid and pass slowly.
If you are
a beginner, take it easy. Joining a trekking group or club can
be a great way to get some basic knowledge about trekking and
the best places to go sight-seeing. Under any circumstances,
never venture off into the woods by yourself. Outdoor
adventures are fun but trekking is a group sport.
Above all, one thing you should remember is that humans
are also a threat to nature. A careless hand can destroy a
precious thing in seconds. The first rule on interacting with
the environment is: Leave it the way you find it. This rule
applies to the trees, the earth, the animals, even the flowers.
Show respect to Mother Nature. Carry your garbage with you. If
everyone works together to preserve parks, wilderness and
other trekking areas, our future generations will be able to
enjoy breathtaking trekking adventures as well.
